The white “chinstrap” is a distinct feature of Canada Goose that helps to distinguish it from other geese. Spreading over vast area s and adaptable to different kinds of climates, it habitat lies in an extensive range that includes prairielands, tundra, and mountainous fields. Canada Geese form lifelong partnerships with their companion at an early age and are monogamous. The transition into spring and autumn is believed to be signaled by loud calls from migrating Canada Geese flying in V-shaped formations in many regions.
Interspecies Relations and Senses:
The Canada Goose has exceptionally good sense of hearing and vision. However, it’s sense of smell is rather poor. The Canada Goose is always found in groups as it is a migratory flock animal.
Variations:
There are four variations featured by Canada Goose where an extremely large percentage of them are of the characteristically brown-bodied variety.
